Loctite UK 5452 is a purple, 1-part, medium viscosity, anaerobically-cured, methacrylate ester, acrylic thread sealant designed for threaded fittings commonly found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. It is useful with dry seal fittings such as O-Ring boss style connectors. It can be used as a sealant on mating surfaces of flare style fittings to seal scratches and surface imperfections.
